Looking to be the hero of your creative business? Not sure where to start when it comes to social media?
Marketing can be totally overwhelming and scary – after all, you are selling YOU! I totally get it. I’ve been an actor for a long time, and marketing has evolved so much within the last few years, that it all is enough to make your head spin!
There’s a trick to marketing in the 21st century. You ready for it?
Don’t approach with the hard sell. Why do you think most of our VO auditions ask for a conversational read?
Think of it as building relationships. That’s the key!
Social media, especially post-Covid, is a GREAT way to make new connections with your industry colleagues and future clients. I’ve made tons of both along the way! Our world is more connected than ever, and you should tap into the power of social media for your marketing.
No, you’re not too old to figure it out. Yes, there’s a lot to learn. No, you don’t need a giant following. Yes, you need an engaged following.
Check out what some of my clients have said about working with me:
“I was so fortunate to have worked with Bonnie. She brought a new focus and strategy to my media content and marketing; a true SuperHero!”
– George Orlando, voice-over professional and session musician
“I’m kind of feeling like I’m in DreamLand right now and I owe that to you. Thank you for giving me a social media presence and a way to at least start expressing to the world who I am and than I am here ready to work (or at least to play). Thank you for your support and encouragement. And for keeping it real, and keeping it fun and keeping me ‘me’. Thank you doesn’t say enough, but it’s all I have right now. If I could, I’d give you a great big hug! Consider yourself hugged!”
– Debra Elaine, voice actor
I don’t believe in “He who has the greatest number of followers wins.” You’d also be surprised at how many people online, especially those claiming to be experts (!!!) buy their followers to look more authentic. If you’d like to learn more, I wrote a blog post about it, linked here.
Now, with that said, I’m not a Social Media Expert, and I’ve never claimed to be.
I’m a Social Media Enthusiast.
I love using it to meet new people, to use my voice, and stay connected to the world around me.
I also believe in efficiency. Your time is limited. You don’t have all day to figure out what to post, how to post, and trying to juggle multiple social media platforms can be dizzying.
I’m here to help you de-mystify social media platforms, and show you my utility belt that helps me use these platforms effectively.
I’ve helped many other VO talent grow their brands on social media and connect with new audiences. I’ve even helped manage a few accounts to get them off the ground!
So now I’m here to help you.
If you haven’t checked it out already, I have a FREE digital download available here that is a great place to start!
But if you’re looking to rise to the top when it comes to spreading your brand awareness, there are a few non-conventional tools I like to use in my business, and I’d like to share them with you.
If you want to dive in slowly, I’m giving you the must-have social media platforms for your business PLUS my top 3 secret marketing apps where I’ve networked and made new clients. You can find it in the shop here. These are things I haven’t talked about in any of my previous social media marketing classes, but platforms I absolutely love!
Want to work with me one on one? You can schedule a time with me here. Can’t wait to meet you!
Bonnie Marie Williams has been acting for over 20 years in the theatre & on stage, in television, film, and voiceover. Looking for that conversational, girl-next-door voice? Just call her Clark Kent. How about children’s voices, playing young girls and boys? Check and check. Narration, eLearning, commercial, audiobook, animation, explainer, on-hold, IVR — you name it, she does it. Her youthful, sincere, charming, quirky voice has hints of Emma Stone, Kristen Bell, Amy Poehler (mostly as Leslie Knope), and a dash of Scarlett Johansson. Maybe you’re looking for a male voice talent for your project? She’s got you covered, helping clients cast projects from a vast network of professional voice talent to call on. Like the super hero tagline says,
“Where there’s a Williams, there’s a way.”
Not to worry, noble citizen. You’re in good hands. She’s been doing this for years.
